Dr. Dennis’ career has been driven by the passion and commitment to advancing the success of orthopaedic surgery by helping people lead active lives through joint replacement procedures. Dr. Dennis recently presented research related to knee replacement at the 2010 Knee Society Open Meeting in New Orleans. This peer-reviewed research will be published in the journal of Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research and garnered the prestigious John Insall Award for it's authors including Dr. Dennis. Dr. Dennis was appointed in May 2010 as adjunct professor at The School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Denver to collaborate with the DU bioengineering faculty on their research efforts.

His professional and academic credits include:

• Director of Clinical Research, Rocky Mountain Musculoskeletal Research Laboratory
• Member and Examiner, American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery
• Member, American Academy of Orthopaedics Surgeons
• President, National Knee Society
• Past President of the American Association of Arthritic Hip and Knee Surgeons
• Design consultant to numerous research entities in the design of both total hip and total knee replacements
• Director, Operation Walk Denver, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing joint replacements to indigent people abroad
• Published over one hundred fifty journal articles and book chapters in the field of hip and knee replacement
• Education Committee Member, National Hip Society

Education:

• Bachelor of Science, Bowling Green State University, 1976
• Medical Degree from the Medical College of Ohio
• Postgraduate studies include an orthopaedic residency at Ohio State University in Columbus
• Fellowship training in arthritis surgery from Dr. Mack Clayton at the Denver Orthopaedic Clinic.
