National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers
What Does Porter's Breast Center Accreditation Mean for You?
Other breast centers may be accredited, but only a select few by the NAPBC. The National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) recognizes programs that offer you comprehensive full-service breast care. NAPBC accreditation is your assurance that everything you need for high quality breast care is available under one roof.
Porter's NAPBC Accredited Center Offers You:
- Digital mammography - walk-ins welcome
- Complete breast care - from genetic counseling to the latest cancer treatments
- Full-time, on-site board-certified breast surgeons
- Ability to meet with your entire cancer care team on one day to save you time and streamline appointments (multidisciplinary team)
- A dedicated patient navigator to walk you through your entire treatment program
- Education and support, including information about prevention, early detection, new treatment options and clinical trials
NAPBC Accreditation Is Your Assurance of Quality
As the gold standard for breast center accreditation, NAPBC evaluates strengths across a wide spectrum of services, including prevention, early detection, diagnosis, support staff, staging, cancer treatment, rehabilitation, the quality of the multidisciplinary team and genetic counseling. To receive accreditation, breast centers must undergo a rigorous evaluation and review of their performance and adherence to NAPBC standards. Based on these stringent, nationally recognized, evidence-based quality measures, accreditation is granted only to those centers that commit to providing the best possible comprehensive care to patients with diseases of the breast.
