Rehabilitation
The Rehablitation (Physical Medicine) Department provides rehabilitation services by physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists in the acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient settings. The inpatient rehab Unit is a 15-bed self-contained acute inpatient rehab center. The Rehabilitation Unit is blessed with a unique, specially adapted therapy area, referred to as Independence Square, which includes a kitchen, greenhouse, bank, grocery store, ATM machine, car for transfer training, and specialized surfaces for gait training. Acute Care Therapies
Full therapy services consisting of physical, occupational, and speech therapies are provided for patients presenting with various decreases in function while hospitalized. A full assessment, treatment plan, goals, and discharge plan for patient safety is devised prior to hospital discharge. The therapy department works closely with case management to insure safe community reintegration and continued therapy services upon discharge from the hospital. Outpatient Therapy
Full therapy services consisting of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy are provided for a wide range of rehabilitation needs.
